The Call of Prophet Yunus (A.S)
The Story of Prophet Yunus (A.S) begins with his mission to guide the people of Nineveh toward the worship of Allah alone. He warned reminding them to abandon false gods and return to righteousness.
Despite his sincere preaching, the people continued in disobedience. Feeling distressed by their rejection, Prophet Yunus (A.S) left them without waiting for Allah’s command, which later became a test for him.
Story of Prophet Yunus (A.S) Inside the Whale
During his journey, Prophet Yunus (A.S) boarded a ship that later faced a violent storm. To save the ship, lots were drawn, and Prophet Yunus (A.S) was cast into the sea, where a great whale swallowed him by Allah’s command.
Inside the darkness of the whale, Prophet Yunus (A.S) realized his mistake and turned sincerely to Allah in repentance.
The Dua of Prophet Yunus (A.S)
In complete humility, Prophet Yunus (A.S) recited this powerful supplication:
“There is no god except You; Glory be to You. Indeed, I was among the wrongdoers.”
Allah accepted his repentance and saved him, demonstrating that Allah’s mercy reaches those who sincerely turn back to Him.

🌿 حضرت یونس علیہ السلام کی کہانی – توبہ اور اللہ کی رحمت کا عظیم سبق
حضرت یونس علیہ السلام کو اللہ تعالیٰ نے اپنی قوم کی ہدایت کے لیے بھیجا۔ جب قوم نے ابتدا میں انکار کیا تو حضرت یونس علیہ السلام اللہ کے حکم سے پہلے وہاں سے روانہ ہو گئے۔ یہ عمل ایک بڑی آزمائش کا سبب بنا۔
اللہ تعالیٰ کے حکم سے حضرت یونس علیہ السلام ایک بڑی مچھلی کے پیٹ میں چلے گئے۔ اندھیروں میں انہوں نے دل سے توبہ کی اور اللہ کو پکارا۔ ان کی دعا قیامت تک کے لیے ایک عظیم سبق بن گئی۔
اللہ تعالیٰ نے حضرت یونس علیہ السلام کی توبہ قبول فرمائی، انہیں نجات دی اور دوبارہ نبوت کی ذمہ داری سونپی۔ بعد میں ان کی قوم بھی ایمان لے آئی۔
